    I bought a fold out saw just in case needed it 😅 of course I only carried once on a hike – way too heavy

    Yes mam, I totally agree with everything. you mentionned, including replacing heavier, bulky boots for shoes….I personally use running shoes with a midsole that give tons of “squish” and, I find I have more grab on rocky terrain, than non compliant/hard bottom soles.
