  1. First off wearing or using darker colors compared to lighter colors during the winter can keep your warmer for it draws heat compared to lighter colors often times when working in the summer time construction people talk about wearing lighter colors to help stay cooler

The other way is just get a big tarp and put over your tent, that is still big enough & long enough to go under the tent as well, even if its not a all weather tent, while yet still having just enough holes at the bottom for fresh air don’t have to have a lot of holes nor do they need to be big heat travels up unless your trying to funnel it some way

The other is trying to keep the ground from getting cold beneath you or place some cushion on the ground

This is getting somewhat off topic but still useful to know
the thing is when the cushion gets wet makes a difference and if the area your in has
CHEMtrails being spread not CONtrails being spread you get wet from or cloths or bedding that gets wet from that rain water can lead to itching and mess with sinuses

If your use to the 70 80s were CHEMtrails were rare and the winter time you could make homemade ice cream by using snow

You’ll know what I mean and were the whole not eating from the first snow fall comes from

Now days CHEMtrails not CONtrails are more common
Typically if it rains that day or next day or 2 and you get wet you could notice the mosquitos might be worse with you and you might go to itching if you get wet

  2. Colman’s 4-6 person pop up all weather tents are quite useful for what little effort it takes for them still though using a big light weight tarp is useful for the winter and possibly when it rains

  3. It’s not a good idea to inflate your sleeping pad or pillow, if you use them, by blowing into them. The moisture in your breath can get very cold or even freeze making for a chilly sleep. They make foot pumps and air trapping bags that inflate using fresh air.

  4. How many of you out there got the feeling that this whole thing was really about making a commercial for osprey backpacks

  5. Put your tent where the sun will find you in the morning, put your day clothes in the foot of your sleep bag, cover scalp, socks, cotton gloves, warm rocks.
Then the ultimate sleep comfort. A pipe shaped like a J put middle of pipe in fire, straight pipe through door at upward angle. Heat rising in pipe will transfer to tent without carbon monoxide.
